Refunds & rewards.
Policy approval pending. This page is a non-contractual explanation. The actual refund, cancellation and reward obligations must be set out in approved merchant agreements and campaign rules.
Customer purchases
Ordinary purchase returns and payment refunds remain subject to the merchant's applicable purchase terms and consumer law. A conditional promotional reward is a separate benefit, not automatically a refund of the purchase price.
Campaign rewards
Official campaign rules should define qualifying actions, any reward cap, the reward type, event verification, cancellation or void conditions, expiry, support and delivery procedures.
Merchant funding
Upfront deposits, applicable service charges and unused authorized funds are governed by the approved commercial proposal. Do not assume that the reward's face value equals the merchant's cost.
